Make Money Performing HITs for Amazon
No, Amazon doesn’t have an ongoing list of people they want taken out, so don’t even go there. Amazon has a program in which people can perform HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks) that are not able to be done by computers. These are some of the things that a HIT could include:
Select the correct spelling for these search terms
Is this website suitable for a general audience?
Find the item number for the product in this image
Rate the search results for these keywords
Are these two products the same?
Choose the appropriate category for products
Categorize the tone of this article
Translate a paragraph from English to French
That list is straight off their website. There are a ton of different tasks you can complete and the pay and workload varies for each task. By the way it looks, you’re not going to make a ton of money, but I think you can definitely make enough to cover entertainment and recreation costs. It just depends on how much time you can spend and how quick you are with the computer.
Check out the program here. Leave a comment and let me know if you’re going to try it, or already have!

This is pretty neat. I checked this out and signed up for it.
There is one for writing trivia questions I am going to work on this afternoon.
You are right, it is not much money, but in terms of productivity, it beats sitting around playing video games.
Peace
@chris: I agree with you on that one. I figure I’m spending my time sitting at my computer just surfing away, why not use that time to do some of these tasks and get paid for it? I’m just getting started and starting to do some of these tasks. It’s kind of addicting once you get going!
apparently there are many other task that cannot be done by computer as well. Nice posting.
Hope it will do some justice also to people not in US, but in indonesia as well
Mturk is not the only site for this type of work. Try Microworkers.com as another resource as well.
Thanks Thorax! I hadn’t heard of that site. That’s another great resource!
