Happy Valentine’s Day!

14 February 2009 577 views 2 Comments

Another year, another fun day of love. This holiday isn’t exactly easy on the wallets for most people (at least those with a significant other). Figure in dinner, gifts, and whatever entertainment and you’ve spent a decent chunk of money already. Here’s my biggest tip for you for today – look for deals. I would suggest calling restaurants to see if they have any specials going on (they likely will) and find a nice place that you can still eat on the cheap. It’ll be worth your time!

After a quick google search, I was able to find listings of deals at restaurants in Seattle, Chicago, Philly, and Miami in about 2 minutes. You can do it too! Go find some deals people and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Honestly, this date has become so commercialized and I dont like it. Well, what more can we expect from the general consumerism of this earth? It’s all about money and what is originally a religious and sacred date has become an extravagant celebration, focusing on gifts, dates, dining out, etc.. overall, simply to spend and consume.
