Keeping Costs Down When Moving to College
Here are a few tips to eliminate some expenses when moving to school. Not all of these may work for you (and you’ve probably thought of a few others!), but hopefully they will help you out a little bit during this crazy move-in time!

Another year, another fun day of love. This holiday isn’t exactly easy on the wallets for most people (at least those with a significant other). Figure in dinner, gifts, and whatever entertainment and you’ve spent a decent chunk of money already. Here’s my biggest tip for you for today – look for deals. I would suggest calling restaurants to see if they have any specials going on (they likely will) and find a nice place that you can still eat on the cheap. It’ll be worth your time!

Many, if not most colleges now have partnerships with the likes of Microsoft and other big companies. While, I’m going to stay away from the merits of programs like this, they really can save you a ton of money!
Somewhere on your school website you should be able to find a link to programs like this. If not, try doing a search for “Academic Purchase program” and it should come up with something. If that doesn’t work, go to our IT office homepage and see if they have any links. You …
